Add Action Buttons to Emails in Gmail

In this tutorial, i will show you how can easily add Action Buttons to emails in Gmail.

By simply including Schema.org markups in your email HTML, you can add actions buttons to emails in Gmail.

Go-To Action

Go-To Actions take the user to your website where the action can be completed.

ViewAction

ViewAction button in email takes the user to your website. For ex: you can add a visit website button to take user to your site or add a watch movie button to take user to a Youtube video link.

To add a ViewAction action button, include either of the following snippet in your email HTML

OR

Once you send an email containing above markup, it will look something like this

Note: For testing purpose (no registration required), sender and receiver’s email address should be same to see action buttons.

TrackAction

You can use the TrackAction to add a button to your emails which can be used to track the package being delivered.

To add a ViewAction action button, include either of the following snippet in your email HTML

Besides these, there are 3 more action buttons supported by Gmail i.e One-Click Action, Rsvp Action and Review Action.

Note: You first need to Register with Google to get approval for implementing the Actions Buttons to emails in Gmail.
